Long Beach Parents of Pre-K and Kindergarten Preparing for School Year
Long Beach Public Schools welcomed incoming Pre-K and kindergarten families to the Lido Elementary School library for "Parent Academy: Junior Edition" on Aug. 12.
Designed to empower parents and caregivers, the event featured early childhood teachers and administrators sharing hands-on strategies to support early literacy, math, and science learning at home.
This year’s expanded event introduced sessions on Speech, OT, PT, and Mindfulness, offering practical guidance on home routines and academic readiness. To further support learning beyond the classroom, representatives from the Long Beach Public Library joined the event to share details on library cards, youth programming, and community events.
