    MEDITATIVE DANCE

Are you looking for a simple way to relax and ground into a flow state using a blend of meditation, music, and movement? Register for this class to learn about a moving meditative practice (also known as “Meditative Dance”).

This class will help you explore your unique inner rhythm and connect with intuitive wisdom and healing, while moving your body in any manner that feels good to music that will help you lose yourself to the beat. The goal is simple: to relax, tune into whatever you’re feeling, and gently move in any way that feels comfortable to you. This is accomplished through guidance from an experienced facilitator, in a safe space where you can feel at ease with however you want to express yourself.

Class will start with breath work and a gentle stretch to help you get into a deep meditative state, followed by a guided body scan and free-form movement, ending with time to journal and/or doodle to integrate your insights and a closing circle to share your experience (optional).

Please bring a yoga mat, water, and a pen/pencil and journal (optional).

A white figure stands thoughtfully in front of a large red question mark.

SOME MISINFORMATION YOU WERE TAUGHT AND IMPORTANT TOPICS YOU WERE NOT

Why September 3rd should be Independence Day. The Wright Brothers did not take off from Kitty Hawk. The ancient Hanging Gardens were not in Babylon. Hubble was the last of several astronomers not the first to discover external galaxies. Paul Revere’s ride was a failure. Find out why Pi day makes no sense and neither does noon as 12pm. Tomaso Albinoni did not compose “his” famous Adagio in G minor. Did Thomas Jefferson really write the Declaration of Independence?
