Registration / General Information
How to Register
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!
Assume you are enrolled in the course unless otherwise notified.
REGISTRATIONS WILL NOT BE CONFIRMED.
Early online or mail in registration is suggested as many courses have space limitations.
ONLINE - Register at
http://turboroster.com/Organization/LongBeachContinuingEducation.
You must have an email address to register online. Once you have gotten
to the website please choose the class you wish to participate in,
click the register button for that class, click register now, fill out
the requested information and proceed to check out. If you have any
questions email
help@turboroster.com.
BY MAIL - Fill out a separate registration coupon and
a separate check for each course. Follow the directions on the
registration coupon filling in every detail. All necessary information
including fee, course name, instructor, day, time and location is in
this booklet. Registration coupons can be printed by going to the
Printable registration coupon link.
In order to maintain proper class size no mail registration received
after March 15 will be processed until "IN PERSON" registration is
completed.
IN PERSON - Monday,March 18 and Wednesday, March 20 from 7:00-9:00 P.M. in the Long Beach Middle School
Cafeteria located at 239 Lido Boulevard.
CLASSES START: The week of April 1, unless otherwise specified.
General Information
SCHOOL HOLIDAYS - There will be no classes on the following dates: May 27.
FEE - Each course is listed with its fee. Students are required to supply their own materials whenever needed.
SENIOR CITIZENS - The Board of Education has a discount
for senior citizens 60 years and older. Courses approved for this
discount are noted with the symbol "SC". If you qualify, please enter
"SC" fee on the registration form.
REFUNDS - If Continuing Education cancels a course, each student
will be entitled to a full refund. Once class has begun refunds will not
be given. Regretfully, refunds will not be given if there are changes
in your business or personal affairs. Transfer of registration from one
class to another is permitted if space is available in a class. If the
student cancels his/her registration before the start of class, a credit
voucher will be issued for the tuition fee. Credit vouchers are not
redeemable for cash. Vouchers are good for one year after issuance.
Credit vouchers will not be issued for one-day classes or after classes
have begun.
WHO MAY REGISTER - Adult Education courses are open to adults (21 and older) only, unless otherwise specified.
HEALTH NOTICE - You are advised to check with your
family physician before you begin in a class if you have any doubt
whether your physical condition prohibits you from participating in the
class.
PARKING - Legal, adequate parking areas are provided at our
facilities. Please use the appropriate spaces and do not park on the
grass.
INSTRUCTORS: We retain our Continuing Education
instructors to teach a course in their area of expertise. The
instructors are not permitted to use the classroom for personal gain, or
to solicit clients or customers. Therefore, we are not responsible for
any advice or consultation given beyond the classroom setting and course
curriculum material.
The registrant does hereby covenant and agree to defend,
indemnify and hold harmless the Long Beach City School District from and
against any and all liability, loss, damages, claims, or actions
(including costs and attorney fees) for bodily injury and/or property
damage, to the extent permissible by law, arising out of or in
connection with the actual or proposed use of Long Beach City School
District property, facilities and/or services.
