Long Beach schools recently hosted a successful two-day Spring Beach Boutique in the middle school gymnasium assisting over 30 Long Beach families. More than 60 bags of clothing were collected prior to the event at a District Art Show and Wellness Fair. The concept of Beach Boutique was created through the efforts of a subcommittee of the District-wide Equity Committee to assist Long Beach students and family members in need of a clothing resource. Beach Boutique invited members of the school community to give what you can and take what you need. Long Beach staff members and students volunteered their time to oversee the efforts of the recent Beach Boutique.
