Long Beach High School is proud to announce that several talented students have received accolades at the 2025 Regional Scholastic Art & Writing Awards. These prestigious awards recognize outstanding creative works from students across the region, with winners moving on to the national competition.
Among the most notable achievements, four students received the coveted Regional Gold Key, which qualifies them for national consideration. These students are:
· Sadie D'Amico – En Pointe (Photography)
· Sophia Ferrara – Hundred Glances (Photography)
· Sienna Hornberger – Boucle Bleu (Fashion)
· Erica Rios – Brick by Brick (Mixed Media)
National winners will be announced at the end of March, and we are hopeful for these students to be recognized on the national stage. Other notable awardees include:
· Sara Biancamano – Pieces of Me (Mixed Media) – Honorable Mention
· Blanca Esposito – Technicolor (Photography) – Honorable Mention
· Reese Gallinaro – Blooming Mind (Mixed Media) – Honorable Mention
· Delaney Gravina – Leftover Halloween Candy (Drawing & Illustration) – Honorable Mention
· Caden Kaplan – Dawn Patrol (Photography) – Silver Key
· Shauna Kelly – Sandy Sunset (Photography) – Silver Key
· Lia Ramirez – Self Reflecting (Photography) – Honorable Mention
· Vivienne Zangaro – Sweet Treat (Drawing & Illustration) – Honorable Mention
Additionally, Sienna Hornberger was recognized with multiple awards in the Fashion category:
· Cobalt Contour (Fashion) – Honorable Mention
· Gothic Rouge (Fashion) – Silver Key
· Marie Intertwined (Fashion) – Honorable Mention
· Measuring Up (Fashion) – Honorable Mention
These awards represent the dedication, hard work, and creativity of the students involved, and Long Beach High School is honored to celebrate their accomplishments. Special recognition is also due to the students’ dedicated teachers: Lorraine Levchenko, Marlon Lainez, and Eric Fox, whose guidance and support have been instrumental in helping these students reach their artistic potential.
