Long Beach High School senior Joshua Cohen was recently celebrated at the 25th Annual Nassau Science Teachers Association of New York State (STANYS) Awards Dinner, honoring students for outstanding achievements in science. At the annual event, one outstanding senior from each member high school is recognized and invited to select one teacher to share the evening with them.

The mission of STANYS is to work with educators and communities to provide opportunities for all students to participate in and learn science.
